Ahhh.... Sundays in Bogota

What can I say? Sundays are our absolute favorite day in Bogota!

Along most streets in Bogota there are flowering tree's, we couldn't resist these pics with Jacob and Luciana. Jacob picked a handful and brought them back to our room to brighten it up.

Sunday's in Bogota are very special, as many of the busy roads are closed. Unlike other days many families can be seen together bicycling, running and walking. It was a beautiful day so we decided to take a walk up to the markets by Santa Barbara Mall. The photo below is of Jacob and Luciana on a bench near the mall.

There were many booths set up at the marketplace but today we were only looking.



Jacob made a deal with Momma that if he walked to the market, she would carry him back. Tammy always keeps her word (at least it was down hill for a ways).

Jacob and Luciana were happily chilling on the bed when we arrived back at Hotel Paris.

Jacob and I played a little catch with the football shortly before dinner to burn off a little steam.

Jacob under estimated the power of his guns and threw the football onto the roof of the hotel. We contemplated climbing out the window to get the football, but were warned by Carolina that we may fall threw the roof. How will we ever get it.....?

Sunday night Juanita made pizza for the Houseman and Vandermaas families and we all sat in the living room to watch the super bowl, (go Colts). The pizza was very rico which led to Jacob eating 8 pieces! This area is also used by Jacob and Caroline for making forts with the couch cushions, (much like back home at Grandpa's house).
